The Asian Buddhist Film Festival (ABFF) has been conceived with the primary purpose of promoting peace, harmony and prosperity. This objective is met through Interfaith dialogue and is the first step towards building mutual respect and understanding. This event utilizes the contemporary medium of film to encourage mindfulness through Buddhist principles to achieve its goal. The ABFF, while incorporated in Singapore as a private limited company, is being run as a non-profit organization. It was founded by media entrepreneur Bhavna Vedhara and businessman Billy Lee. Businessman Elgie Goh recently joined the organization as a director of the board. All directors, advisers and committee members are involved in this project pro bono.

The ABFF is supported by an Advisory Council comprising of respected members of the community from various walks of life, including:

This Council is bound together by a common interest in culture and inter-faith harmony, and more importantly, propagating peace through mindfulness.
